Check out Alice Lyons' blog detailing her 'Staircase Poetry Project' in the new Arts Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. It looks really interesting and I'm sorry I'm not going to get a chance to see it unfold. I am originally from Co. Leitrim and went to school in Carrick-on-Shannon. It is in the north-west of Ireland, west of the Shannon, for my readers unfamiliar with the Emerald Isle.

this is a really beautiful project - I saw part of it being pasted to the staircase last Saturday in the dock. thanks for the link to the blog!
I'm mad I didn't get a chance to see it over Christmas and I won't get back for a while now. Oh well. A blog is a good idea actually. I love the way she's incorporating typography, lettering, and poetry all in a kind of installation. It looks very stimulating.
check out peter sirr's blog too: http://petersirr.blogspot.com
Thanks folks--nice to see some blog talk about this project. I'll read on as well as it looks like an interesting blog here. Hope you get back to Leitrim for the lovely spring. It was at its best last weekend for McGahern's funeral, which was a beautiful reflection of his life--dignified, moving and deceptively simple.
